Douglas Told He Can Leave

Only 5 months after agreeing a new deal, Bees captain Douglas has been told to find a new club as this new era begins in West London.

The Irishman is one of many options for the central midfield role and with him being one of the older lads, maybe it his time to move on. Marinus has brought in a lot of young players, so possibly Dougie doesn’t fit into that set up.

Douglas is reported to have fell out with owner Matthew Benham over the direction that the club was heading in.

Dougie started all but 2 of the games we played last season and was the older player that we needed to help all the youngsters. The role he played was priceless in my opinion.

Could Dougie be the second big name to leave after Tony Craig left to rejoin former club Millwall.

Douglas was magnificent for us last season and I would love to see him stay but from what we have heard it seems like he is on his way out.
