Brentford were beaten by Barnsley in the Championship on Saturday.
The 4,000th league match for Brentford didn’t have a happy ending with the Bees becoming the first side Barnsley had beaten in eight-matches.
Armstrong turned in the Barnsley opener around the half hour mark with Hogan having an effort cleared off the line to deny Brentford a leveller.
Kent’s effort hit the post with Winnall following up to seal the win for the visitors midway through the second half.
