Andre Gray got on the score sheet again with a brace and looks in fine form going into the new campaign. He is already looking a much better player than what we saw of him last year.

Head Coach Marinus Dijkhuizen used the match to give some of the new signings game time but also had a look at a couple of development players, including Courtney Senior and Aaron Greene.

Our 3 goals all came in a dominant first half display from the new look Bees team. The opening goal was from the penalty spot with Gray sending the keeper the wrong way after being taken down in the box.

Just over half an hour in and Brentford doubled their lead with a wonder goal from none other than Jota who is becoming famous for the incredible goals he scores.

Just before half time there was another goal. Gray scoring again after Stuart Dallas played a pass back across to Gray who slotted it home with ease.

Boreham Wood, who have recently been promoted from the Conference South did create a few chances but were always on the back foot after the quick succession of goals.

Another pleasing performance from the Bees and I am looking forward to the game against Stoke on Saturday to see what we can do against a Premier League side.
