Watford vs Brentford Match Preview

Brentford seem to find themselves in the same situation as on Saturday. They face a team in a decent run of form and in a higher position in the table who have just changed their manager albeit for different reasons.
Oscar Garcia has been replaced by Bill McKinlay as first team coach because of ill health. There is no concern of his health but he will need rest. However, the only game he took charge of was a 1-0 defeat against Charlton so it was hardly his team either.
Footballing wise the appointment of McKinlay just one day before the visit of Brentford means that almost nothing will have changed at Watford before the game except a different man on the touchlines who will probably not be looking to exert any opinion on the team so soon. He will have barely had a chance to look at the players and will probably receive advice from people already at the club.
Like against Leeds, Brentford should look to have a good go at Watford and see if they can get at them early on in the game and make it hard for Watford to settle into the game and give McKinlay a comfortable introduction. The Bees should take heart from a comfortable win against Leeds and if they were to attack Watford and start fast, Watford may find it harder to find their rhythm. Brentford`s strength is in their wide men and they should look for encouragement there in what should be a tough away trip to Vicarage Road.

Watford-
Brentford will have to cope with the strong home form of their opponents as Watford have lost only one of their five home games in all competitions this season. Their only defeat at home was 2-1 defeat against Doncaster in the Capital One Cup on 26 August

Brentford-
However, Brentford arrive with a good away record so far this season as they have won three of their five away games in all competitions this season

Should be an interesting match! I reckon Wolves will go up this year so it’ll be a tough match. Players like Sako really do set them apart. They beat us but then again, we’re 22nd
