Brentford’s Championship season continued with a draw at the Macron Stadium against Bolton on Monday.

Carsley signed of with a point as the Bees, you could say, ‘paid the price’ for not making the most of other chances after Swift opened the scoring with Danns earning Bolton a point in a one-one draw.

With new Head Coach Smith looking on Brentford went into an early lead when Chelsea loanee Swift (10) curled past Bolton ‘keeper Amos from 20-yards.

Amos kept Bolton in the game after that as the former Man United ‘keeper got the better of Vibe when he was put through one-on-one he also denied Swift a second when he made a fine save to turn the ball over the bar.

Brentford could have won the points by half time but failure to take these chances came back to haunt the Bees when Bolton drew level as the midway point of the second half approached when Danns (65) finished via the post from 20-yards as he followed up when Woods couldn’t fully clear Feeney’s cross.

If it wasn’t for Button, when the Brentford ‘keeper pulled off a save soon after, Ameobi could have had Bolton ahead!

But at the other end Amos again made a save when he turned another Vibe effort away to deny Brentford once again with Kerschbaumer having a chance having come off the bench, however he didn’t work him this time as his effort went wide.
