Thanks but no thanks

Brentford will not be offering deals to Andy Taylor or Juvhel Tsoumou – both of whom travelled to Germany with the first team squad.

Taylor – formerly at Sheffield United – provided cover at left back for the tour but it’s believed that Uwe Rosler is keen to bring in a more attack minded player with Everton’s Jake Bidwell still in contention for a second loan spell.

Taylor has also struggled with injury over recent years which might have been another factor in Rosler’s decision.

Attacker Tsoumou, formerly of Preston and Plymouth, failed to make his mark on the tour and Brentford will now pursue other options instead either on loan or as permanent deals.

In the meantime development squad players Luke Norris and Antonio German will continue to deputise at first team level.
