Oldham has been a happy hunting ground for Brentford fans for the past few seasons.

2 League and 1 FA Cup draw at Boundary Park in 2005, left happy, if not cold memories of the ground.

On 3rd December, the Bees drew 1-1 in the FA Cup

Transfer Listed Bee Scott Fitzgerald has scored 3 of these goals, but not likely to feature this time round.

The Ground

The ground opened in 1904, becoming all seater in 1994.

The highest crowd ever recorded at Boundary Park is 47,671 for an FA Cup tie between Oldham and Sheffield Wednesday.

The current capacity 13,624, with the average crowd being 5,796 in last season’s League One campaign.

Oldham’s ground still has the feel of an old fashioned lower league ground, despite the club seeing some top flight action only 2 decades ago.
Plans for redevelopment are underway, pending future success in League 1. I hope they dont take away the great atmosphere that the ground gives to the home support. All 4 stands currently have different styles, something unique in today’s era of identikit stadia.
The Rochdale Road stand gives a good view of the pitch, but is cold, colder than a witches tit, I believe is the local phrase.

The club shop is one bright feature, staffed with helpful folk, but not too busy on matchdays.

Local pubs include the Old Grey Mare, on the Oldham Road and the Greyhound Inn, tucked away on Holden Fold Lane.

One local celebrity, who you wont see at the ground, born and raised in the Royton area include glamour model Michelle Marsh.
