The 24 year old spent all of last season at MK Dons where he scored an impressive 22 goals in all competitions to help them get promoted to the Championship.
The Latics boss Gary Caldwell has said that he is hoping he will repeat that form for them in League 1.
Grigg was a target for a number of other clubs in the Championship so I am a little shocked he has chosen to make the move to Wigan. He is a proven goalscorer and that is why I believe he should have been given more of a go at Brentford.
Grigg had a superb season in League 1 so will know the division very well and is a proven goalscorer at that level. I still believe he could have done a good job for us in the Championship though.
It is disappointing to see him leave but I wish him good luck for next season.
