Brentford’s Championship season continued with a third straight win after victory at the Valley against Charlton on Saturday.

A third successive win under Carsley, in the space of seven-days, was secured by first half goal from Swift, which was followed up by another two from Brentford in the second half from Judge and sub Vibe as the Bees won three-nil.

This result cost Charlton boss Guy Luzon his job as he was sacked shortly after!

Charlton, which had this chance been taken things could have worked out much differently, could have been ahead early on but Moussa, who found himself unmarked inside the box, wasn’t able to hit the target from a Watt cross.

That miss was punished when Chelsea loanee Swift (26) did his chances of extending his loan with Brentford, if Chelsea allow this, no harm when he headed a Judge cross past Charlton ‘keeper Henderson with the half hour approaching.

Brentford almost doubled the lead before the break but McCormack saw his drive from 25-yards crash against the crossbar.

A second did come though when Judge (55), who scored twice recently, was on the scoresheet again early in the second half when he brought the ball forward before curled home a fine effort into the top corner to double the lead.

Victory was rounded off when Vibe (86) came off the bench to add the third late on, which once again saw the influential Judge involved as he picked him out with a fine ball.

The win, as said a third in a row for Brentford and a third in seven-days as the improvement under Carsley continues, saw the Bees climb up to 12th.
