Brentford’s Championship season continued with a draw at Ewood Park against Blackburn on Saturday.

The deadlock was broken, with Brentford taking the lead, when Swift, who continues to impress during his loan spell from Chelsea, put in Vibe (23), who was causing problems, with him seeing off a challenge from Blackburn’s Duffy with him then finishing past Steele.

Blackburn were level with Lawrence (37) cutting in before putting in a cross shot that managed to beat everyone including Brentford ‘keeper Button to make it one-all, with both sides having further chances before the break.

The goal that beat Button would disappoint him but he made a fine save when he tipped another Lawrence effort onto the post. With a Bees lead was almost restored as well with McCormack’s powerful striker kept out by Blackburn ‘keeper Steele, who made a fine save.

The turnaround could have been completed by Blackburn in the second half but Duffy, who had the goal at his mercy, wasn’t able to hit the target with his header but he then blocked a Vibe effort that was on target to keep Rovers level. Vibe, put in by another fine ball from Yennaris, continued to threaten with Steele forced into another save with the Blackburn ‘keeper saving with his latest effort with his legs.

A final chance of a winner went Blackburn’s way with his effort from 25-yards turned away by Button, who pulled off a save to keep out his effort that was headed to the top corner.
