Midfielder Alan Judge has given his verdict on the two one loss to Birmingham City at St Andrew’s at the weekend, and for him it was our own sloppy defending that cost us the victory.

Speaking to the Official Site following the defeat in his own after game press interviews, Judge explained.

‘It was possibility the wrong result today but we were off. I think a draw would have been a fair result today. They were the home team but sat behind and didn`t even put anybody forward. We left ourselves open and conceded two sloppy goals.’

Being honest about the performance, he was also honest about his second half chance that went begging when he was one on one through with their goalkeeper Tomas Kuszczak.

‘To be honest it was awful. I`m not going to put an excuse behind it, it was terrible from me but we still went on to equalise after that. I thought we were the only team that was going to win it in the end.’

The Irishman was also asked about the potential red card challenge by Jon Toral on skipper Jake Bidwell, and echoing the thoughts of head coach Dean Smith in saying it was a red card all day long, Judge went on to add.

‘It`s a clear red card. He nearly tacked Jake in his chest. He missed a lot today, there was a clear handball by Caddis, who`s nearly caught it.’

Not a friend of the matchday referee then!
