Beesotted brings you up to date with some tepid news from Griffin Park….

CADEMY APPROVED. Brentford have had their application to open a top level Category Two academy next season approved. In essence Beesotted thinks this means we might attract some better youngsters and play against a better quality of team at academy level.

FEEL THE POWELL. Former Bee Darren Powell (a classic ‘good the first time, not as good the second time’ player) should feature for Hampton and Richmond against Brentford in a friendly next Wednesday.

MORE ONIONS? Brentford have severed ties with Azure Catering and will be running catering at Griffin Park ‘in house’ next season. We look forward to seeing Greg Dyke selling balti pies on the Ealing Road.

ROBERTSON A NO GO. Former Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson is believed to have turned down a move to Brentford and is likely to agree terms at Championship side Ipswich.
