We still hope to make it into the Premier League next season but if reports are right David Button, one of a number of players that could attract interest this summer, could make that step up even if Brentford don’t as Villa are showing an interest.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Tim Sherwood, who knows Button from his Spurs days, regards him as ‘one of his top summer targets’ with a new ‘keeper something he wants following Brad Guzan’s horrendous error against Man City that has seen Shay Given recalled since.

Further claims went onto say that Villa goalkeeping coach Tony Parks; another that worked with Button at White Hart Lane, has belief that he ‘can still become one of the country’s top keepers.’

Alex Pritchard is returning to Spurs at the end of his loan with us but Sherwood is also showing interest in him too, apparently….
