Brentford today unveiled a new striker – former Falkirk man Farid El Alagui

The French born 27 year old attacker scored an impressive 18 goals in 33 league games last season and should bring a sharper edge to the Bees attack

Beesotted picked up on twitter rumours linking Farid to Brentford a couple of weeks ago and it is believed that Uwe Rosler has secured his man ahead of Scottish teams including Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and Glasgow Rangers (against whom El Alagui hit a brace last season)

The hitman has agreed a two year contract in West London and is Brentford’s fourth signing of the summer.
