Brentford’s failure to secure promotion into the Premier League could see us lose Jota to Championship Champions Bournemouth, who are being linked with him along with Derby but we’ll hope to keep hold of him.

The Mirror carry reports that Eddie Howe, unsurprisingly, is among those that were impressed by the 23-year-old Spaniard who could still make the step up to the topflight with them even though we’re not able to manage this.

Interest is also being shown in him from Championship rivals with another redtop, the Sun this time, reporting that Derby’s Steve McClaren was also significantly impressed by the midfielder’s 11-goals from his 46 appearances, who wouldn’t have been, and that will see them offer us £2m.

Jota might be tempted away from Griffin Park this summer but it’ll cost would be interested parties a lot more than £2m and if that’s all that’s being offered as he’s still got two-years left on his contract he’ll not be going anywhere will he….

At least he shouldn’t be!
