Ian Carlo Poveda, who had previously trained with Arsenal before he joined the Barcelona academy leaving Brentford for Manchester City this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

When Poveda came to Griffin Park it wasn’t known if this was on loan or in a permanent basis initially (with ‘legal issues’ surrounding young players they could sign leading to his departure from Barcelona when he join our academy) but he is a Brentford player. As such the compensation being paid out by Man City will come our way.

Brentford have of course confirmed the end to our academy this summer!

The report says the England U16 international, who could also represent Colombia, has been offered a scholarship deal with the former Premier League Champions with him signing this deal in ‘the coming weeks.’
