Henrik Dalsgaard has admitted there was disappointment in the Brentford dressing room following the draw with Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Heading to the Riverside Stadium for the game ahead of the international break, Brentford played out a two all draw and the Danish full back knew we should’ve taken the win.

Speaking to the Official Site as he reflected on the game this week, Dalsgaard explained.

‘It feels like it’s the same story all over again. We played very well, but we need to get some more points. That’s our issue right now. I think we played it very well. They were at home so they were always going to put some amount of pressure on us, but I thought we did very well, especially in the first half. That’s just football right now, especially for us. I think we are a bit unlucky and we had a lot of chances so I’m sure it will turn soon.’

Dalsgaard went on to admit that having gone ahead twice in the game it was frustrating to see them peg us back on both occasions.

‘Of course, especially when there is a spare man at the back. The first one was a bit lucky, it drops down and he gets to it first. We just need to close the game sooner, another goal here and there won’t lose us any points. I think we’ve got some more points, and we’ve got the first win which was very important. We need to turn these draws into wins, because we have the chances and we play very well.’

He added.

‘We need to do better, step it up a few per cent here and there. I’m sure it will turn and we’ll get more victories. It’s details but that’s football. The details in and around the boxes, that’s where you make the points so we need to be sharper. We’re training it every day so I’m sure we’ll get there.’

He also spoke about his pleasure at his adjustment to life in the country and the league.

‘I like it. It’s definitely a tough league, playing Saturday and Tuesday, I have had to get used to it. I enjoy it, it’s very physical. I’ve been playing a lot so I’m really enjoying it, Brentford is a great Club and I love to play here. Physically and mentally you have to be prepared and take care of yourself, otherwise it will kill you. I think I’ve done alright, I think I can do better but the first couple of months have been me getting used to it. We need some more points and then I’ll be very happy.’
