This is what Jake Bidwell suspects, and he’s probably right, will be the case from the struggling side when the visit Griffin Park this weekend.

Not that we can say Brentford are ‘flying’ at the moment as we’re not are we!

But, unlike our visitors, we’re not rock bottom of the Championship and looking highly likely to be relegated into League 1 come May, which if Charlton carry on as they are they’ll possibly, if not probably, be relegated long before the season ends….

The Bees might go into the meeting with Charlton as ‘favourites’ but Bidwell’s taking nothing for granted and expects them to come at us with everything following a last gasp defeat to Reading last weekend.

At three-one down Charlton were dead and buried but the Addicks battled back to three-all only to lose four-three in injury-time with Bidwell telling Get West London he wants us to repeat what we showed against Wolves.

‘They lost in the last minute which shows they’re scrapping and need wins. I’m expecting them to come at us all guns blazing. We need to repeat the performance we made against Wolves.’

He went on to add he could see Charlton’s style potentially playing into our hands and allowing us to hit them on the counter-attack.

‘It might suit us. We’ll analyse them in the week and see what they’re about. They’re scrapping for their lives and we’ve got to keep our season alive.’

We’ll go into this not only to cause more misery to Charlton, who have conceded over 60-goals this season, but to complete the double having won three-nil at the Valley earlier in the season.

Can we do this?
