Thursday`s Hounslow Planning Committee meeting will decide, one way or the other, on whether Brentford’s plans for a new stadium at Lionel Road will be allowed in their current guise.

Planning Officers have apparently recommended approval for the Lionel Road development, which could see the Bees leave Griffin Park for a brand new 25,000 seater stadium. Whilst many will be sad to see The Bees leave their current home, most are aware that the move is vital for the long term sustainability of Brentford FC.

Fans group BIAS have been keen to point out, however, that fans should not take things for granted and that the public meeting on Thursday is perhaps the most important away fixture of the season for Bees supporters.

A number of local residents from Chiswick are also bound to be in attendance in number to voice their opposition to the plans – so it’s incredibly important that Brentford fans show up en masse too.

The venue is the Lampton Park Conference Centre, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN – the meeting starts at 7.30pm but supporters are advised to arrive from 6.30pm as large numbers are expected to attend.
