The past few days have seen a number of arrivals at Brentford, well, to the Brentford B team anyway, ahead of the new season.

Dundee United’s Ali Coote joined Brentford on a three year deal, he’ll now link up with the B team along with a couple of others new faces and a pair who have extended their deals at Griffin Park – then again at least one of those could spend time away from the club next term?

Having enjoyed a successful loan at Cheltenham last season, another temporary exit is seen as a possibility, Emmanuel Onariase has signed a new two year contract at Brentford. Manny will link up with the B team for pre-season training but the 20 year old central defender could head out on loan again.

Danish youth international midfielder Nikolaj Kirk, 19, will spend the season in the Brentford B side as he’s arrived on a one year loan deal from FC Midtjylland.

After a loan last season, spending the second half of it at SV Wuppertaler in his native Germany, midfielder Jan Holldack also signed a new deal at Brentford. Holldack, 21, who can also play in defence, penned a new one year deal with the Bees B team.

West London will also be the base for another overseas player for the next couple of years, at least, following the arrival of Finland youth international striker Marcus Forss. However, the Finn is familiar with English football as Forss, 18, had been at Premier League club West Brom on a scholarship at the Hawthorns prior to signing this two year deal.
