I write about the upcoming match at Griffin Park this weekend as Brentford take on Reading.

Today Brentford face Reading. Reading who are a good looking side lie 10th in the championship and should prove a tough opposition. However, Brentford who have played some great football so far this season are feeling good after a dominant win last weekend and a promising performance mid-week. I expect Brentford to play their normal attacking style of football and also defend well like we began to see against Leeds. I think Brentford should try and press high early and really go for it. An early goal for us against Reading would make it very tricky for them to settle and with the Griffin Park faithful chanting a Brentford win would seem very likely.

Team News:

Nico Yennaris, Tommy Smith, Sam Saunders, Richard Lee and Scott Hogan all still remain on the side-lines but we hope to see them return for action soon. Our Midfielders Alan Judge, Alan McCormack and Stuart Dallas are available but are carrying light knocks.

At the moment Reading have no new injury concerns but will still be missing Jem Karacan, Danny Williams and Shaun Cummings. Anton Ferdinand, Garath McCleary and Aaron Tshibola are also out.

League Form:

Brentford LWL
Reading LDD

Previous Meetings:
The last time the two sides met was in a 1-1 draw at Griffin Park in the old division 2 in April 2002. Brentford have only won one of the last seven meetings with the only time they have won since 1993 was 2-1 at Reading. However Reading have only won one of the last eight meetings at Griffin Park.

The Teams:

Brentford- Brentford have lost 3 out of their last 4 games with the only win coming against Leeds on the 27th September. However we have played some really good football and deserved more from those games. Brentford have been very strong at home winning 2 out of their last 3 at Griffin Park.

Reading- Reading have not won any of their last four games in all competitions. Their last win was on the 16th of September. The Royals have failed to score in any of their last 3 away games. Their last win away was over a month ago on the 30th of August.
