Brentford and Fulham have shared a rivalry for all of their history but now that we are back in the championship the fierce competitiveness at these derbies has been reignited.

Brentford and Fulham have competed at the same levels for a few periods of their history. The fiercest rivalry was when Fulham were descending down the divisions in the eighties and nineties. These matches always brought in big crowds and caused tension on the pitch and on terraces.

In recent times Fulham have gained promotion to the highest division but now we are back in the same league as them and the rivalry is fiercer than ever because of the Bees excellent form and Fulham struggling in the Championship.

Back on the 26th of August Fulham scraped a lucky 1-0 at Griffin Park in the League Cup but that was the first fixture since 1998 when Fulham won 2-0 in a League fixture.

The Bees are now on an excellent run with 3 wins out of 3 so far and are more than ready for the arrival of Fulham this Friday night. In what will be a tense but exciting match I believe the Bees can prevail victorious!
