Brentford have confirmed the permanent exit of Akaki Gogia to Dynamo Dresden – he had spent last season on loan with the German club.

An undisclosed fee has seen the winger join the German second tier side.

Last season Gogia, 25, featured in 24 games for Dynamo Dresden as the winger scored an impressive 10 goals helping Dynamo, a first season at that level following promotion the year before, to a fifth-place finish in 2.Bundesliga.

Gogia had been signed on an long-term contract by Brentford, the length of which wasn’t disclosed, when joining the Bees from another German club Hallescher FC in 2015.

During his time at Griffin Park Gogia made 13 Championship appearances, 14 in all competitions for Brenrford.

Of course, Gogia has left with the best wishes and thanks.

The Official Website said: ‘All at Brentford FC would like to wish Andy all the best for the future.’
