Brentford have announced plans to go on a pre-season tour to Germany, visiting Leipzig and Bad Blankenburg (Good Blankenburg was already booked up and Fair to Middling Blankenburg is over-rated by all accounts).

The Bees will play friendly fixtures against as yet unnamed opposition on Saturday 21st July, Tuesday 24th July and Friday 27th July.

Leipzig was voted 68th most liveable city in the world in 2010 and has a daily mean temperature of 18.5 degrees centigrade in July. The Leipzig Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Germany.

Bad Blankenburg is a spa town situated 6km southwest of Rudolstadt and was the location of the first kindergarten of Friedrich Wilhelm August Frobel. Local entertainment highlights include a sax club (this is not a spelling error).

Should be more fun than Hampton anyway.
