Brentford have signed Watford starlet Piero Mingoia on loan for a month.

The 20 year old playmaker – who is yet to make a first team appearance for the Hornets this season – can play across the midfield.

Bees manager Uwe Rosler commented ‘I want to have a very good look at him and there is no pressure on him’, suggesting that the player may not be plunged straight into first team action. He played seven times at first team level in 2010/2011.

The signing comes at a time when Harry Forrester – another creative force – has also returned to fitness and is a possible sign that Rosler is unhappy with the number of chances that his team are creating.

Mingoia is the second Watford player to sign on loan in a week – following Dale Bennett to Griffin Park. Brentford’s sporting director Mark Warburton was previously at Watford in a youth coaching capacity.

Brentford have also today extended the loan of Jake Bidwell until February 14th.
