Brentford have only 15 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Brentford find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 12th place in the Championship table on 56 points but a now 13 point gap to Sheffield Wednesday in the final Play Off spot, an outside run for promotion does seem unlikely to be honest.

However with three straight victories secured in the last few matches before the hiccup against Cardiff City, a strong end to the season is the least that fans can now hope for.

Anything else would be purely a bonus and give us further confidence ahead of the coming campaign.

Clearly sitting in 12th place and being 16 points ahead of Blackburn Rovers means nobody should be looking over their shoulders at any rate as that is now mathematically impossible, so a focus on the top ten and possibly the top eight has to be the aim.
